Protecting the Public Water Supply

Safe, clean water sustains life, and every one of us shares responsibility for protecting it. When we use the same water system for cooking, cleaning, irrigation, cooling, or industrial processes, we also share the same pipes — and the same risks. 

Wherever water is used, we must evaluate the potential for backflow or back‑siphonage. A strong cross‑connection control program, supported by ongoing education, is essential to keeping our neighbors safe and maintaining the integrity of our public water supply.
